Deep Static Glabellar Lines in Surat

Deep Static Glabellar Lines: Filler and Skin Boosters in Surat

Botox is the primary treatment for glabellar lines, the vertical creases between the eyebrows. This page covers what to do when a groove is still visible after the muscle is relaxed. A deep static glabellar line is a skin problem, and it is treated with a very small amount of soft hyaluronic acid or a skin booster, always after Botox and never instead of it.

When Botox Is Not Enough

Relax your forehead completely and look in a mirror. If the vertical lines between your brows disappear, they are dynamic and Botox alone will clear them. See Botox for glabellar frown lines.

If a groove remains, the skin itself has been permanently creased. Years of folding have broken down the collagen along the fold line, in the same way a sheet of paper folded repeatedly keeps the crease. Relaxing the muscle stops the line getting worse and softens it over several months, but it will not fill a groove that is already there.

How the Residual Groove Is Treated

Botox first, always. The muscle is relaxed and left to take full effect for two weeks. Injecting filler into a glabella with an active corrugator muscle means the product is squeezed and displaced with every frown, and the result does not last.

A very small amount of soft filler. At the two week review, a tiny volume of a soft, low cohesivity hyaluronic acid is placed superficially along the residual groove. The emphasis is on tiny. This is the least forgiving area on the face for filler volume.

Skin boosters as an alternative. Injectable hyaluronic acid that hydrates and stimulates rather than fills can improve skin quality across the glabella without adding volume. It is the safer choice for a moderate crease.

Why the Glabella Demands Extra Caution

The glabella is the single highest risk area on the face for filler. The supratrochlear and supraorbital arteries run through it and connect to the ophthalmic artery, so filler forced into a vessel here can, very rarely, travel backwards and cause skin necrosis or visual loss. This is not a theoretical concern, it is the best documented filler complication in the medical literature.

That is why the honest answer for most patients is Botox plus skin boosters rather than filler, and why filler here should only ever be a small volume, placed superficially, slowly, by a doctor who knows this anatomy, with hyaluronidase in the room. We keep it in stock. Dr. Ashutosh Shah is a board certified plastic surgeon and will decline to fill a glabella where the risk outweighs the benefit.

The Treatment, Step by Step

  1. Assessment of the lines at rest and while frowning, to separate dynamic from static.
  2. Botox to the corrugator and procerus muscles.
  3. Review at two weeks, when the residual groove is reassessed. Many patients need nothing further.
  4. If required, a small volume of soft filler or a course of skin boosters.
  5. Further review at four weeks.

Results, Downtime and How Long It Lasts

The Botox effect appears at 3 to 5 days and completes at two weeks, lasting 3 to 4 months. Filler in the glabella is visible immediately and lasts 9 to 12 months. Skin boosters build over a course and last 6 to 9 months with maintenance.

Expect possible bruising. For 24 hours stay upright, do not rub or massage the area, and avoid heavy exercise, saunas and steam.

Who Should Not Have Filler Here

Filler in the glabella is avoided where there has been previous permanent or semi permanent filler in the area, where there is scarring from prior surgery or trauma that may have altered the vessels, in pregnancy and breastfeeding, in active infection, and with known allergy to a component of the product. A history of a previous vascular event after filler anywhere on the face is a strong reason to avoid this area entirely.

Cost in Surat

Most patients need only the Botox component. Where filler or skin boosters are added, cost depends on the product and volume. A price is quoted after your face to face assessment, before anything is injected, and EMI options are available.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can filler remove the 11 lines between my eyebrows?

It can soften a residual groove after Botox. It should not be used as the first or only treatment, and only in small volumes.

Why do I still see a line after Botox?

Because the skin has been creased. The muscle is relaxed but the fold is already established. It softens over several months of consistent treatment.

Is filler in this area dangerous?

It carries the highest vascular risk of any facial site. It can be done safely with correct technique and small volumes, but for many patients skin boosters are the better risk to benefit choice.

How long should I wait between Botox and filler?

Two weeks, so the muscle is fully relaxed and the true residual groove can be judged.

What is the difference between glabellar lines and frown lines?

They are the same thing. Glabellar is the anatomical term and frown lines is the everyday one. See our frown lines treatment guide.

How long do results last in the glabella?

It depends on what is used. The Botox effect appears at 3 to 5 days, completes at two weeks and lasts 3 to 4 months. Filler in the glabella is visible immediately and lasts 9 to 12 months. Skin boosters build over a course and last 6 to 9 months with maintenance.

How much does glabellar line treatment cost in Surat?

Most patients need only the Botox component. Where filler or skin boosters are added, cost depends on the product and the volume used. Elegance Clinic quotes a price after your face to face assessment, before anything is injected, and EMI options are available.
